- The world premiere of नेहा & Neel by Ankita Raturi in Fall 2025. Neha (नेहा) had such an idea of how to raise her son Neel (नील) in America, but a cross-country college tour forces them both to confront the difference between who they are and who they want each other to be. नेहा & Neel asks what we lose with every generation in America, and if it’s ever too late to connect with your roots.
- A new AAPI writers group will launch in Summer 2025 with a focus on creating new work that explores different Asian diasporic enclaves in Los Angeles. In collaboration with community-based partners in these “Little Asia” neighborhoods, the plays will highlight the vibrant stories and histories of the communities who live and thrive there.
- The AAP Spring Reading Series, part of our new play development program, provides artistic and financial resources to two emerging playwrights for a workshop and public performance of a new in-progress play.
Contributions, big and small, are crucial to our work, enabling us to invest in artists whose work explores that Asian American and Pacific Islander experience, advocate for equity and inclusion in American theatre, and collaborate with Los Angeles-based arts organizations to explore the limitless possibilities of theatre.
